Jennifer Gail Davison Baskin
Oct 20, 1954 — Aug 24, 2026
Jennifer Gail Davison Baskin of Ft McCoy, Florida passed away on August 24th, 2026. She was born on October 20th, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her husband Barry W. Baskin, Sr. and her parents Jim and Carra Davison.
She is survived by her brothers Jimmy (Cheryl) Davison, Allan (Margie) Davison, and Robert (Kayla) Davison and by her sisters Lodell Davison, Debbie (Luis) Perna, and Teresa McClellan. Her many, many nieces nephews, and their children will all remember Jennifer too.
As a daughter born into a U.S. Navy family she had the opportunity to travel extensively in her formative years. From her teenage years on she called Ocala, Florida her home until her marriage to Barry in 1983. It was then when she moved to what she pridefully called “the forest”, aka, Eureka, Ft McCoy.
Since she was married to a Deputy Sheriff and was daughter of a U.S. Naval officer, Jennifer avidly displayed her patriotism and respect for law enforcement officers.
Jennifer had many passions, most notably was her love for her nieces and nephews. She succeeded in spending extensive amounts of time with them enjoying the beaches, mountains and other vacation spots.
As an avid fan of country music she often attended the concerts at Silver Springs and earned the respect of her fellow fans for her knowledge of that music genre.
Jennifer was a devoted dog lover and her dachshunds, Gabby and Abby, were constant companions. She often fed the wildlife that lived in the surrounds of her home in Eureka and frequently remarked on the deer, turkey and bears that came close to her home.
With her quick wit and unbridled humor, Jennifer was fun to be around. Our family gatherings were her chance to shine by preparing and bringing deviled eggs and huge pans of mac and cheese. Yum, yum, she could cook!
Jennifer was interred in the Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, Florida.
Jennifer will be lovingly remembered and missed always!
