Joyce Orme

Joyce Orme, 79 of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. Born in Paintsville, Kentucky to John and Corrinne Stepp. Joyce graduated from Lake Weir High School and received a degree from Central Florida Community College. She retired from Appleton Museum of Art after over 20 years. 

Joyce is preceded by her parents John Stepp, Corrinne Dempsy Stepp and her loving husband of over 40 years Charles Orme.

Joyce is Survived by her brother John Stepp, Niece Lilly Wood (Mike Wood husband), Nephew Jeramiah Stepp (Lydia Stepp wife) and her Grandnephews Logan Wood and Riley Wood. Rebecca Gary her lifelong best friend who was like a sister to her and Rayburn Steele her devoted companion she shared adventures with in her last years and was by her side in the end.

Joyce was lifelong pet lover and loved them like family. She traveled extensively throughout the United States and Visited England and France.
