Born on March 3, 1936, in San German, Puerto Rico, Miguel’s life was a rich tapestry woven with dedication, kindness, and heartfelt humor. His journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to family, faith, and community, leaving an enduring legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.

Miguel’s professional path was defined by steadfast dedication and leadership. He devoted 22 years to serving as a plant manager in Plymouth Harlee, Long Island City, New York. Following this, he contributed meaningfully to the municipality of Humacao, Puerto Rico, as a property manager until his well-earned retirement in 1995. Not one to slow down, Miguel then embraced a new chapter upon relocating to Ocala, Florida, where he worked with Blessed Trinity Church until 2012, further enriching his community with his warmth and wisdom.

Beyond his commendable career, Miguel was a man of many passions and talents. A lover of all sports, he found joy in playing golf and embracing the thrill of athletic competition. His love for reading and history reflected his curious mind and well-read nature, further deepening his role as a family historian who preserved memories and stories with great affection. He was known to be a great storyteller, often lacing anecdotes with family humor, captivating those around him while masterfully maintaining a straight face—a skill that brought laughter and light to countless moments.

Miguel’s personality shone through in his kindness, humor, and love. Always ready with great advice, he was a pillar of support and affection to his family and friends. His role as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather stood as his proudest accomplishment. To his children Cynthia “Cindy” Ceilan, Miguel “Michael” Jr. (Lynne), and Jeffrey “Jeff” (Lillian), he was not only a loving father but also a guiding light. His legacy continued through his grandchildren Jessica, Jasmin (Francisco), Alyssa (Brandon), Michael Jeff (Andrea), Juliana (Samantha), Alexander (Klaudia), and Aidan, and his treasured great-grandchildren Kaelyn, Levi, Adalyn, Makaylah, and Jonas, each carrying a piece of his spirit forward.

Miguel also shared a special bond with his siblings Carmen Maria (Kelly) and Ramon (Juana), his godchildren Joehans, Ida (Miguel), and Jose (Saundra), as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply feel his absence yet hold close the memories of his love and laughter.

Throughout his life, Miguel remained deeply connected to his faith, proudly participating as a member of several Catholic organizations, including Juan 23, EMAUS, and Cursillo. His spirituality and devotion were sources of strength and guidance, both for himself and those around him.

Though cherished loved ones preceded him in death—his wife Carmen, father Ramon, mother Flor Maria, and brothers Julio and Juan—the warmth and spirit Miguel shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
