Paul Arlen Gery, born on August 21, 1940, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 5, 2026. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of sports, and the many lives he touched throughout his life.

Paul proudly served in the United States Army before beginning his career as a breadman, following in the footsteps of his father. He eventually retired from Country Hearth, where he spent many years working and serving his community.

Paul had a passion for sports and recreation. One of his greatest joys was coaching Little League, where he shared his love of the game and helped inspire young players. He also enjoyed umpiring and refereeing, bowling, playing cards, and challenging himself with Sudoku puzzles. Whether spending time with family, enjoying a friendly game, or sharing his knowledge of sports, Paul found happiness in the simple pleasures of life.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Sheryl Lynne Woody, and his son, Jason Scott Gery; his five grandchildren, Clayton Woody, Christopher Woody, Victoria Neal, Sheyanna Woody Shockley, and Brandon Neal; and sixteen great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jane Gery; his mother, Kathryn Gery; and his father, Paul Gery.

Paul’s life was marked by service, hard work, family, and a love for the activities that brought people together. His presence, wisdom, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Paul Arlen Gery will be deeply missed by many, but his legacy will live on through the generations he leaves behind.
