Ricardo Ignacio Iglesias
Apr 24, 1993 — Oct 26, 2026
Ricardo Ignacio Iglesias, affectionately known as “Ricky,” was born on April 24, 1993, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He departed this life on October 26, 2026, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impression on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Ricky was a man who was truly one of a kind. He had a big heart and cared deeply for the people around him. Strong-willed and never afraid to speak his mind, Ricky had a personality all his own. He was compassionate, generous, and protective of those he loved. He was also known for always having something smart or funny to say. He loved making people laugh, even when they weren’t in the mood, and his mischievous side had a special way of bringing out a reaction in just about anyone.
Ricky was not perfect, but he was perfectly himself. He embraced life in his own way, and there was nobody quite like him. His presence could brighten a room, his words could bring a smile, and his love for those closest to him was something that will never be forgotten.
Ricky attended Colonial High School and, throughout much of his working life, worked as a landscaper. Always looking toward the future, he was working on earning his GED with hopes of joining his stepfather, Kevin, in working for Marion County. He was a man with plans, dreams, and aspirations, and those who loved him were proud of his desire to continue moving forward.
Outside of work, Ricky enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and cheering on his favorite basketball team, the Chicago Bulls. He also had a special appreciation for Hot Wheels cars, which he collected with enthusiasm. Above all, Ricky had a tremendous love for his mother, Teresa, and the bond they shared was especially dear to his heart.
In his final chapter, Ricky had also found love with a wonderful woman who meant so much to him and who will miss him dearly. Though their time together may have been far too short, the love and memories they shared will remain treasured.
Ricky leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved mother, Teresa McQueeny; his father, Ricardo Enrique Iglesias; his stepfather, Kevin McQueeny; his son, Julian Iglesias; and his daughter, Liliana Iglesias. He also leaves behind his loving companion, extended family members, and a host of dear friends whose lives were touched by his unique spirit.
Ricky’s life reminds us that a person does not have to be perfect to be unforgettable. He was strong-willed, funny, compassionate, generous, and wonderfully himself. His laughter, his personality, his love, and even his mischievous ways will live on in the stories shared by those who knew him best.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that the memories he created will never fade. He may be gone from our sight, but he will never be absent from our hearts.
A gathering with viewing will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Downtown Ocala location, as family and friends come together to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Ricky.
