Carl A. Stevens

Nov 13, 1941 — Oct 22, 2026

Carl Stevens, 84, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on October 22, 2026, in The Villages, Florida. Born in Toledo to James and Grace Stevens, Carl attended Waite High School and spent his life building meaningful relationships and creating lasting memories with the people he loved most. Family was the center of Carl’s world. A devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandfather, he gave his time, attention, and unconditional love generously.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie; his three daughters, Carla Farthing, Heather (Steve Craver), and Carin (Jason Miller); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy. Carl is also survived by his two sisters, Marie Dean and Sue Huedecker, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Grace Stevens, and his brothers, Theodore Stevens, Donald Stevens, and James Stevens. Affectionately known as Papi, Carl had a personality that was impossible to forget.

Outgoing, intelligent, and endlessly positive, he had a natural charisma that could light up any room. He was a gifted storyteller who could captivate an audience with his stories, wisdom, and sense of humor. He often seemed to have an answer for everything, and his family and friends knew they could turn to him for advice, encouragement, or simply a good conversation. Carl had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the beauty of nature. Whether enjoying the fresh air, exploring the world around him, or spending time with those closest to him, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. His love of nature reflected the way he lived: with curiosity, enthusiasm, and an appreciation for the world and the people around him. Above all, Carl will be remembered for the way he made people feel. He made those he loved feel important, supported, and cherished. His presence brought warmth, his words offered wisdom, and his stories created memories that will be shared for generations. His influence will live on in the values he instilled, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely to his family.

Carl’s greatest legacy is the family he loved so deeply and the countless moments of laughter, guidance, and togetherness that will forever be a part of their lives. Though he will be dearly missed, the spirit of Papi will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
