Dianne Elizabeth Montafia

Mar 19, 1942 — Oct 14, 2026

Dianne Elizabeth Montafia, 84, of Kingston, New York, passed away peacefully on October 14th, 2026, in The Villages, Florida.

Dianne was born in Kingston, New York, to Irving Maurer and Irene Doyle on March 19th, 1942. She attended Saint Ursula's Academy in Kingston, New York and the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. She had a deep love for children and spent some time teaching elementary school. She was a passionate lover of music, and she shared her gift by playing the organ at various venues, churches, and for family throughout the years. She and her husband, Charles, also owned and operated The Ice Cream Club in Delay Beach, Florida. After retiring, she embraced the role that brought her the greatest joy of all: being a loving and devoted grandmother, and eventually, great-grandmother.

Dianne was married to the love of her life, Charles Montafia, for 61 years. Together, they raised twin sons, Michael Charles Montafia, who passed away in 1984, and Dominic Peter Montafia, who passed away in 2004.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Gabriella, and her husband, Jonathan; and their daughter, Natalia. Gabriella and Jonathan were by her side during her final days, providing her with care, comfort, and companionship.

A Memorial Mass will be held on November 16th, 2026, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in The Villages, Florida, at 11:00am.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at My Brother's Keeper and the staff at Cornerstone Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
