Harold Gene Oakley, age 93 of Oxford, Florida passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2026, following a courageous battle with melanoma and interstitial lung disease. Born on August 20, 1932, in Ashland, Kentucky, he was the son of Reverend Jesse and Mae Oakley. He attended Ashland High School and went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky. Following his military service, he remained deeply committed to his community and faith. A devoted member of Oxford Global Methodist Church, he found great joy in organizing the annual Memorial Day Service honoring local veterans.
