James F. Rose, 88, of The Villages, FL, passed away on June 27, 2026, in The Villages, Fl.
Jim was born in Buffalo, NY to Mary Casey Rose and Francis C. Rose, Jr. on June 9,1938. He went to school in Buffalo, NY and attended Bowling Green University. He married Jean C. Lindon on June 20, 1964, in St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Seven Hills, OH. He worked as a Sales Manager for Lee Way Motor Freight and Holland Motor for 40 years. He was a veteran of the Cold War and served in the Army. He was active as an usher at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Emmaus, Knights of Columbus (3rd and 4th degree), The Lofties and a starter at Nancy Lopez golf course. He enjoyed golf, bowling, all University of Notre Dame sports and the Chicago Cubs. He was also selected to participate in the Honor Flight in Washington, DC.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Mary Casey Rose and Francis C. Rose, Jr. and Luther and Katherine A. Lindon.
Jim is survived by Jean C. Rose, James P. Rose (Donna) and Patrick M. Rose (Kristin) and grandchildren Kaitlin, Tyler, Jack and Nina.
Funeral services will be held 10 am, July 15, 2026, at St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 7081 SE Hwy Summerfield, Fl. Burial will follow at Bushnell National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hiers – Baxley Funeral Services.
