Leo Oscar Soldner Sr.

Leo Soldner, 87, passed away on January 12, 2026, in his home in The Villages, FL.

Leo was born in Lowell, WI to Audrey and Ralph on June 13, 1938.

He grew up in a small farming community and dreamed of something more. As soon as he turned 18, Leo enlisted in the US Air Force and began that dream. He travelled many states and many countries making many many friends along the way.

Leo learned numerous trades in the Air Force such as electrician and mechanic. While stationed in Florida, he met Leah Coleman, fell in love and married her soon after. Together they travelled the country putting down roots in several states. During this time Leo and Leah had the joy of bringing 3 children into their world, Leesa Gillette (husband Brian), Laura Peck and Leo Jr.

After several years, they had the thrill of enjoying their 7 grand-children, Kyle, Khris, Marisa, Anesha, Casey, Nathan and Evan and 13 great grand-children. Working most of his life, Leo finally settled in a retirement community, The Villages, in central Florida.

He enjoyed golfing and socializing with his many friends. They took many vacations, and life was great until Leah, the love of his life, died on March 11, 2022. Leo focused on his health and retirement until he died after years battling cancer.

To many he was the life of the party, the man with the correct answer, but few knew him as the foundation of a loving family. He will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace Dad, we will try to find the strength to follow your lead. Love you.
