It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald C. Barlow, Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Ronald departed this world peacefully on August 18, 2026, with his devoted wife, Cathy, by his side. Born on November 1, 1945, in Potsdam, New York, Ronald was the son of the late Lawrence and Hilda Barlow.

Ronald's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his career. He served with distinction in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, Ronald pursued an education that culminated in an MBA from the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. His career in information technology saw him rise from the role of a computer programmer to Chief Information Officer for several esteemed companies.

A man of many talents and passions, Ronald was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, golfing, and supporting his beloved Philadelphia Flyers. His culinary skills were unmatched, and he relished sharing his love of cooking with his children. Ronald was also known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. He loved playing cards with family and friends, bringing laughter and joy to all who knew him.

Ronald's commitment to his community was evident in his roles as a volunteer fireman, where he served as Vice President, and as a little league football coach for over a decade. His leadership extended to serving on the Board of the organization, and he was a proud member of the American Legion. A man of faith, Ronald was active in attending North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, Florida.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cathy, and his children: Ronald C. Barlow, Jr. (Terri), Michael Barlow (Nicole), Timothy Barlow, Lisa Sine, Patricia Herring (Zach), and Ryan Herring (Alyson). He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his nine grandchildren—Katie, Emma, Tyler, Elizabeth, Victoria, Andrew, Mikayla, Olivia, and Veda—and six great-grandchildren. He is survived by siblings Lawrence Jr., Steve, Richard, Robert, Marijean, and Linda. Ronald was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, William, Julia, Wayne, Kathleen, and Jan.

A service to celebrate Ronald's life will be held on September 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at North Lake Presbyterian Church, located at 975 Rolling Acres Road, Lady Lake, FL 32159. Inurnment will be held privately for family at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ronald's memory to the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation, a cause close to his heart. (www.t2t.org)

Ronald C. Barlow, Sr. will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with all who were fortunate to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
