**Obituary for Corbit "Sonny" Lee Trulock** It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Corbit "Sonny" Lee Trulock, who departed this life on March 26, 2026, in Auburndale, Florida. Born on June 21, 1942, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Sonny was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Sonny's life was anchored in the nurturing embrace of his family. He was the beloved son of Corbit Henry Trulock and Lillie Smith, a kind-hearted man whose warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife Ruth Ann Thomas, his sons Robert "Todd" Trulock, and Troy Trulock, and a vast extended family including stepsons John "Doug" D. Spillman, Michael "Mike" D. Spillman, Christopher "Chris" D. Spillman, and stepdaughter Lisa J. Barnes. He is also mourned by his sister Brenda Rucker and brother-in-law Larry Rucker. A lifelong farmer in Cub Run, Kentucky, Sonny had a profound love for the land, and his dedication to it was evident in every crop he nurtured. He took immense pride in his work and found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing and hunting. His hard work and community spirit left a lasting impression on those around him. Known for being kind, generous, loyal, and considerate, Sonny had a unique ability to engage others in conversation, often sharing stories that made everyone feel valued. His helpful nature and willingness to lend a hand were hallmarks of his character. A Celebration of Faith honoring Sonny’s life will be held on April 8, 2026, at 11 AM at the Clubhouse at Swiss Golf and Tennis, Winter Haven, Florida. Family and friends are invited to join as we gather to remember and celebrate this extraordinary man's legacy. In this time of sorrow, we encourage all to reflect on the joy and love Sonny brought into the world. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, dear Sonny.
