**Obituary for Delila Glenda Smith** It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delila Glenda Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this life on October 3, 2025, at the age of 84. Delila was born on March 1, 1941, and lived a life characterized by love, devotion, and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Melba and Dennis Jones. Delila was a devoted wife to her husband, Jerry Smith, who stood by her side for 66 years. Her legacy is carried on by her two sons, Billy Smith, (Laurie) and Jerry Smith, (Nicole) who were both sources of pride and joy for her. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Jerri May Emerick, (Michael) and a very caring and supportive great-grandmother to Mark Emerick and Jenna Emerick. She has a sister Hildreth (Buddy Johnson) among other family and many friends. Delila’s family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense joy in seeing them grow and thrive. Throughout her life, Delila exemplified kindness and warmth, qualities that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a unique ability to bring people together, creating an atmosphere of love and unity. Her friends and family will forever remember her generous spirit and her unwavering support. She loved with her whole heart and she had a way of making everyone feel important to her.  While we mourn the loss of Delila, we also celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives. She has left an indelible mark in our hearts, and her memory will be cherished by all who loved her. A service will be held in her honor, recognizing the beautiful life she led and the love she instilled in each of us. The family invites those who wish to express their condolences to share their memories of Delila, as she touched many lives in immeasurable ways. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
