November 8, 1992 — May 31, 2026
Gibran Trevino Hernandez, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 31, 2026, in his hometown of Auburndale, Florida. Born on November 8, 1992, Gibran brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind cherished memories grounded in his warm heart and vibrant spirit.
Gibran took pride in his steady career as a shipping operator at Mosaic, where his dedication and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression. Beyond his professional life, those close to him remember his great sense of humor and charismatic nature—qualities that made every moment spent with Gibran a joy. His outgoing and loving personality shone brightest when surrounded by family and friends.
Family was paramount to Gibran. He treasured the time spent with his loved ones, an affection that extended to the simple yet meaningful pleasures of working on his car. He also found enjoyment in the precision and focus of shooting at the range, his fascination with firearms, and the thrill of travel. These interests painted a picture of a man who embraced life with passion and curiosity.
Gibran is lovingly remembered by his father, Tony Hernandez; mother, Cristina Hernandez; his sister, Alondra Hernandez; nieces, Adela Hernandez, Eliana Leal, and Evalise Leal; brother-in-law, Jose Leal; his girlfriend, Desiree Smith; as well as extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins. Their hearts carry the imprint of his kindness and infectious laughter.
He is predeceased by cherished family members who shaped his life and legacy: his grandparents Jesus and Eva Trevino, grandfather Julio Hernandez, sister Alma Marina Trevino Hernandez, cousin Enrique Hernandez, and uncle Cristoval Trevino. Their memories live on through the stories and love they shared with Gibran.
A visitation to honor Gibran’s memory will be held on June 6, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Kersey Funeral Home, located at 108 Lake Stella Dr, Auburndale, FL 33823.
