Iris Janet Delgado

Ms. Iris Janet Delgado, age 77, a resident of Polk City, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Advent Health Hospital in Celebration. Ms. Delgado was born May 29, 1947, in New York City, New York to Felix and Ruth (Quinones) Ronda. She was a resident of Polk City for several years, member of Green Pond Baptist Church and retired from the Lakeland Fire Department as a Secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents. Iris leaves behind a brother Raymond Delgado of Conway, South Carolina; nephew Ramon (Rosa) Delgado of Redding, Pennsylvania; 3 nieces Samira (Antonio) Delgado-Almeida of Conway, South Carolina, Francisca (Oscar) Delgado-Lopes of Bridgeport, Connecticut and Christina Clark Delgado of Barstow, Florida; 2 cousins – Roberto Cruz & Edwin Cruz; 11 great nieces and nephews and 8 great great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
