John Louis Russo, Jr.

Mr. John Louis Russo, Jr., age 80, a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Mr. Russo was born September 15, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland to John Louis and Berenice (Podraza) Russo, Sr. He was a Polk County resident since 2004 coming from Belaire, Maryland and a United State Army veteran serving during Vietnam. John retired from Verizon as a Communications Technician and was a member of CWA Union. He enjoyed Disney world, music, walking, football, computer, electronics and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sister – Linda Jean Russo Sweeney. John is survived by his loving family, wife of 59 years – Joyce Russo; son – John Joseph Russo and niece – Nicole Russo. There are no services scheduled for John at this time.
