John Hamilton Sloan Jr

Mr. John Hamilton Sloan, Jr. age 82, a resident of Polk City, Florida, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Valencia Hills Health & Rehab in Lakeland surrounded by family. Mr. Sloan was born February 21, 1943, in Plant City, Florida to John Hamilton and Clyde Adel (Miller) Sloan, Sr. John was a resident of Polk City since 1992 coming from Plant City. He was a retired Truck Driver working for S & R Trucking and JS Trucking. He enjoyed watching TV, working on his semi and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter – Kathy and sister – Betty. John is survived by his loving family, 2 sons – Kevin Harper and wife Kandance & James Harper; daughter – Heather and husband Sheridan; 3 sisters – Mary Frances, Gloria & Jeanette; 7 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10am Saturday, December 20th at Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 West Derby Avenue.
