Otto Kohler Jr.

Mr. Otto Kohler, Jr. age 82, a resident of Auburndale passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center with his wife by his side. Mr. Kohler was born October 31, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York to Otto and Elizabeth (Woestehoff) Kohler, Sr. He was an Auburndale resident since 2004, coming from Glendale, New York. Otto was an Interior & Exterior Painter, member of the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Winter Haven and was the head usher for the church where he received a plaque for 20 years of service. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the Lake Alfred Masonic Lodge, American Legion and DAV. Otto enjoyed watching TV, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters – Elizabeth & Marion and nephew – Billy. Otto is survived by his loving family, wife of 6 months – Janice Cassens; brother – Walter (Erika) Kohler; 1 nephew – Robert Wood; 7 nieces – Lisa Kohler, Renee (Stanley) MacNear, Christina (Dennis) Bogovic, Susan (John) Berglin, Patricia (Phil) Garufi, Kathleen (Ed) Warner and Maria Meihoefer; 16 great nieces & nephews. There are no services scheduled for Otto at this time.
