Ouida Faye Biagiano

Ouida Faye Biagiano, born Ouida Faye Strawder on December 28, 1944, in the charming town of Nashville, Georgia, lived a life that was as vibrant and nurturing as the gardens she tended so lovingly. Raised with the values of compassion and dedication, she grew into a woman renowned for her generosity and her uncanny ability to brighten the room with her witty sayings and infectious laughter.

After relocating to Auburndale, Florida, Ouida embraced her new community fully, embodying the spirit of care and concern for those around her. Her husband, Bernie, was her rock throughout that time and he often found himself as her partner in all sorts of adventures—from fishing trips with the kids to birdwatching on their front porch. Together, they cultivated not just a garden but a beautiful home bursting with love and laughter. She was an incredibly dedicated mother to her four children, David, Tony, Chris, and Michelle. Her passion was reflected in the way she raised her children; with kindness and humor, she infused their lives with wisdom that only someone with her experience could impart. Even her daughter-in-law, Bobie Lamson, and her brood of grandchildren—Brandon, Hannah, Jordan, Brandyn, Matthew, Michael, Cody, Jonathan, and the late Joshua—knew her as a fountain of unconditional love, always making them feel special and cherished.

Ouida’s loyalty transcended her family; she was a steadfast friend, proving that true connections are strengthened by kindness and honesty. In every aspect of her life, she embodied the rare trait of putting others above herself, reminding us that the best gifts are often those we give to others. She was often referred to as "The Great Gift Giver" in her family because of her talent for finding the perfect gifts that spoke directly to each person’s heart. It was said that she could pick out the perfect present even in a crowded shopping mall, perhaps aided by her uncanny ability to know a good deal when she saw one! 

Her interests were as rich as her personality. A true lover of gospel music, Ouida found great comfort and joy in listening to the uplifting hymns that filled her heart with peace. As an avid gardener, Ouida found joy and tranquility in nurturing her plants and flowers. She also found great delight in catching the occasional corn snake or two if she found them wandering through her yard. It’s safe to say that if there’s a heavenly garden, Ouida has already planted her favorite flowers there. Whether she was sitting quietly with her Bible in hand or engaged in lively discussions about the latest Rays game, her laughter and love resonated profoundly. 

Friends and family will gather for her memorial service on December 11, 2025, at Kersey Funeral Home, they will share stories that weave together the fabric of a life lived with purpose and flair—a life that taught everyone around her to love deeply, give generously, and to laugh often. The viewing begins at 5:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM, where the warmth of Ouida's love will be felt as stories are told, tears are shed, and laughter rings out in honor of a woman who truly embraced life. 

Ouida leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and an unwavering spirit. Although she has traded her earthly anchors for wings, she will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
