Rosa Ramos, born January 15, 1949, passed away on September 14, 2026, leaving behind a family she cherished above all else and a life defined by love, devotion, and quiet generosity.

A homemaker at heart and in calling, Rosa was deeply dedicated to her children and built her life around caring for those she loved. Her proudest accomplishment was always her children, and the love she held for them was matched only by the joy she found in her grandchildren. Family was everything to Rosa. She took great pride in those closest to her and was always ready to help in any way she could.

Rosa brought warmth and delight into everyday life. She loved music and loved to dance, and she enjoyed traveling whenever she could. Time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was especially precious to her, and the moments she shared with her children and grandchildren were among the most important in her life. She was known for cooking everyone’s favorite meals on their birthdays, a gesture that spoke so clearly of her thoughtfulness and affection. Christmas was her favorite holiday, a season that reflected her joy in gathering family together and making others feel loved.

She also found happiness in the simple pleasures that made her unmistakably herself. Rosa loved to watch sci-fi movies, especially stories of vampires and werewolves, and she also enjoyed action and drama. She loved to cook, to work on 1,000-piece puzzles, and to spend time with crossword puzzles. These interests, along with her lively spirit and deep care for others, painted the picture of a woman whose presence brought comfort, fun, and lasting memories to her family.

Family was everything to Rosa.

Rosa is survived by her children, Marisol Mercado, Ismael Mercado, and Michele Mercado. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Jake M, Rafael F, Jason F, Ariel M, Jonathan R, Jaizen M, Jared R, Jaiden M, and Marissa M. Each of them carried a special place in her heart, and her love for them was constant, steadfast, and full of pride. The family she nurtured was the center of her world, and the care she gave so freely will remain a lasting gift in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ismael “Jake” Mercado III, and by her parents, Paula and Nemesio Ramos.

Visitation for Rosa Ramos will be held on September 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Dr, Auburndale, Florida 33823. A funeral service will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the same location.

Rosa Ramos will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength as a mother and grandmother, her generous spirit, and the joy she found in caring for her family. Her memory will live on in the meals she prepared, the holidays she treasured, the laughter she shared, and the enduring love she gave so completely.
