Sharon Faye Hayman

Mrs. Sharon Faye Hayman, age 70, a resident of Lakeland passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Lakeland Regional surrounded by family. Mrs. Hayman was born September 23, 1955, in New York City, New York, to Austin Preston and Mary Ann (Sullivan) Gipson. She was a resident of Polk County since the 1980's, coming from New York. She graduated high school from Queen of the Rosary Academy in New York and continued her education by receiving a bachelor’s in business administration from Florida Southern College and an MBA from Ohio Dominican University. Sharon retired from State Farm Insurance after 40 years of service as a Manager-Administrator.

She enjoyed playing golf, fishing, RV camping in earlier years, traveling and loved spending time with her family. Her love language was cooking for her family every Sunday.

She is preceded in death by her parents - Austin "Bud" & Maureen Gipson; husband - Percy Edward Hayman Jr. and nephew - Brent Wheeler. Sharon is survived by her loving & devoted family, son - Eric Hayman and wife Tammy; twin sisters – Austine Gipson, & Allison Holbrook and husband Tim Hammond; granddaughter - Maddie Hayman; in laws - Montie & Marty Hook; two nieces - Amber Brown and husband Chris & Blake Spencer and husband Josh; two great nieces - Bryleigh & Brittyn and one great nephew - Brayden. Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, August 4th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donation be made in her honor to Moffitt Cancer Center (Donate to Moffitt Cancer Center).
