William Joseph "Bill" Trent

Mr. William Joseph “Bill” Trent, age 82, a resident of Winter Haven passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Winter Haven Hospital. Mr. Trent was born March 12, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Elmer Joseph and Stella (Gedwellas) Trent. He was a Polk County resident for the past 26 years, coming from South Haven, Michigan. Bill was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He was an Army MP stationed in Germany at the Nikey Missile Installation Base this is when his law enforcement interest began. He was a retired Police Officer for the South Haven Police Department in Michigan. Bill also retired after 15 years as an ESE Elementary Para for Crystal Lake Elementary School & Caldwell Elementary School. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed traveling, restoring old cars, going to Saint Augustine and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles & cousins. Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years – April Trent and 1 son – Nicholas Trent. There are no services scheduled for Mr. Trent at this time.
