Elizabeth M. Salazar
Jun 6, 1946 — Jul 12, 2026
Elizabeth M. Salazar passed away on July 12, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the beloved wife of Rogelio (Roger) for 62 wonderful years, a devoted mother to Lani, Mimi, and Rod, a proud grandmother to Tommy, Julian, Jessica, Alex, Chase, and Rylie, and a cherished great-grandmother to Benny, Ethan, Gianna, Tommy, Ellie, Norah, and Selena.
Elizabeth was born on June 6, 1946, in Pasay City, Philippines. Her childhood was marked by challenges, growing up without her father, an American GI who reluctantly returned to the United States after his military service ended. Despite those hardships, she developed a remarkable strength and determination that would define her life.
As a young woman, Elizabeth pursued her passion for music and became an accomplished singer. It was during one of her performances that she met the love of her life, Roger. Seven years her senior, Roger first had to win the approval of Elizabeth’s four older brothers and her strict mother before they began their life together. They married in Olongopo City, PI. Their love story blossomed into a marriage that spanned more than six decades.
After marrying, Elizabeth and Roger made their home in various Navy ports in the United States, where they lovingly raised their three children. Elizabeth initially studied nursing, but when the family relocated to the West Coast, she embraced a new path. With determination and entrepreneurial spirit, she and her husband built a successful insurance business, eventually retiring to enjoy the role she treasured most—being a grandmother.
Her grandsons especially looked forward to their annual summer visits with Grandma and Papa in Las Vegas, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Elizabeth’s greatest joy was her family. As the matriarch, she instilled the values of love, loyalty, resilience, and togetherness, leaving a legacy that will continue through the generations she helped shape.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain in their hearts forever.
