Carlos Matus

Carlos Figueroa Matus (Charlie) born May 19, 1935 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nogales,  AZ to Guadalupe and Francisca Matus.

Carlos grew up in Patagonia, AZ with his Nana & Tata, Francisco and Pastora Figueroa, at their Rancho. At the age of 16, he moved to Mesa, AZ worked at City of Mesa, married at 19 to Delia Perez of Mesa, had 3 children. 

His hobby was playing his guitar and writing music. He wrote a Christian song Called "Mucho Amor". It was played at Catholic Masses in the Diocese of Phoenix. He retired at 63 from Waste Management and lived life fully. He met his current wife, Mary Lopez, and lived in Phoenix, AZ. He loved his 27 grandchildren & 27 great grandchildren.Carlos passed away October 7, 2026 In Mesa, AZ.
