Margaret M. Metler

Margaret M. “Peg” Metler, 94, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on July 23, 2026.

Born July 14, 1932, in Lansing, Michigan, to Robert and Mildred Mathieson, Margaret attended Resurrection School in Lansing. She spent the majority of her career as a nurse and also drove truck. She found quiet joy in watching hummingbirds, drawing, and quilting.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her granddaughter, Sheryl Welch.

She is survived by her children: Mary Ann Metler of Haslett, Michigan; Richard Metler of Scottsdale, Arizona; Thomas Metler of Dimondale, Michigan; Teresa Harvey of Phoenix, Arizona; and Kimberly Metler of East Lansing, Michigan.

She is also survived by her brother, John Mathieson (Julie); a niece and nephew; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
