Scott Vernon Stingley

February 20, 1983 — April 2, 2026

Scott "Scotty" Stingley passed to be with our Lord in Heaven on April 2, 2026 at the age of 43.

Scott was born on February 20, 1983 to Scott and Susan (Hoover) Stingley in Sioux City, IA. He was raised in Garden City, KS, with his two sisters, Sara (Jorge) Rivera of Mesa, AZ, and Sabrina (Josh) Stingley of Garden City, KS.

Scott attended Garden City Public Schools and earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas University. He spent most of his adult life in the Kansas City area working in finance until he moved to Arizona in 2024.

Scott is survived by his four daughters; Alyssa Kelley, Aspyn Kelley, Paisley Stingley and Charli Stingley. Other survivors include his mother, his two sisters, paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Charles Stingley and Nanny, Jo Nottleman.

Scott was a devoted Son, Father, Uncle and Friend. He was a natural athlete who enjoyed playing baseball and softball. Scott was happiest spending time with his daughters and being the best dad he could be. He loved to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Atlanta Braves, making fans out of his daughters, as it should be.

The Memorial Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home 1130 S Horne, Mesa, AZ 85204 on May 2, 2026 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stingley Children’s Support Fund, established for the benefit of his daughters, Charli and Paisley, to support their care and future.
