Arleen Kimiko Rikimaru
Jan 24, 1947 — May 5, 2026
Arleen “Kim” Kimiko Rikimaru, age 79, loving mother of 2, adoring wife, and the perfect Grandmother to 2 granddaughters, passed away in the early hours of May 5, 2026. Kim fought a 6-year courageous battle with stage-4 endometrial cancer. She was born January 24, 1947, in Tokyo, Japan to Keiji and Yoshiko Okano. She had 3 sisters and grew up in the Nyssa/Adrian Oregon area. She graduated from Nyssa High School and later went off to attend beauty school in Portland, Oregon. She married Jim Kodama and had 2 daughters, Tammy and Lori with him. She later divorced and continued being a single mom to the 2 girls. On June 9, 1979, she married Carrol Rikimaru and lived in Ontario, Oregon for 40 years. She spent 43 years working as a hairdresser. She loved doing hair and had developed many treasured friendships over time. In 2019, she and Carrol moved to Meridian, Idaho to be closer to Lori and Tammy. Kim loved fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, sewing, crafting, shopping with her daughters and granddaughters, and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was the true definition of a “warrior”!
She is preceded in death by her Parents: Keiji and Yoshiko Okano, Sister: Catherine Okano. She is survived by Husband: Carrol Rikimaru, Daughters: Tammy (Dewayne) Hondo and Lori Kodama, Granddaughters: Aralyn Hondo and Sicily Hondo, Sisters: Diana (Paul) Fujimoto and Janice (Chuck) White. Also, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family of “Kim” would like to give Special Thanks to Dr. Bobby Chawla, PA-C Savanah Hawkins, and the various Nurses and Med Assistants at the St. Als Cancer Center who provided such kind, loving, compassionate and heart-felt care for her. We feel truly blessed!
At Kim’s request: there will be NO service.
