Maureen Carol Hall

Feb 5, 1947 — Oct 2, 2026

Maureen Carol Hall, 79, passed away at home in Ontario, Oregon, October 2, 2026. Her loving husband, John Hall, was at her side throughout her courageous four-year battle against cancer.

Born in San Pedro, California, to Edward and June Maxwell, she developed her love for the surf and the sun. After graduation and dabbling in the arts as a cartoonist, she moved to Parma, Idaho, where she raised her two children.

She lived a full life and had an adventurous spirit. She treasured trips to the beach, holidays with family, and her beloved Golden Retrievers.

Maureen was a devoted mother, talented artist, seamstress, and crafter. She was a creative soul who found joy in crafting, painting, and woodworking. She loved music and dance, and she shone onstage with the Onionskins. She was a natural on the dance floor with John as her partner. She also volunteered in many facets of the Ontario community.

She worked in banking, but her family always came first. Her children knew they could count on her love, encouragement, and guidance, and they carried it with them into adulthood.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Mike, she is survived by her husband, John Hall of Ontario; Kelly Mackey of Boise; Kory (Tim) Gott of New Meadows; stepsons Jason Hall of Portland and Jeff (Stacey) Hall of Meridian; as well as grandsons Lukas and Elijah Hall.

At her request, there will be no public service.
