Ava N. Salemi

Ava N. Salemi, 83, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. Ava was born on October 8, 1942, in Sampson County, N.C. to the late Roy Nunnery and Jessie Fisher Nunnery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Salemi. She loved his family very much. Also preceded in by her death brother-in-law, Joe Struchen and nephew, Timothy Struchen. She is survived by her son, Kevin Bunce, of Lutz, Fl., sister Lillian Struchen, niece Joanne Tyson (Larry), great-nephew T.J. Tyson, stepdaughters Andrea (Douglas) Augustine, Christine Salemi, grandsons Grant and James Augustine, sister-in-law Connie (Henry) Cardoso, and many nieces and nephews.

Ava was a long-time member of Harvester Community Church, 2432 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes, Fl. Where her service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 12pm. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deeds and Dedications, Inc. PO Box 13845 Tampa, Fl. 33681. Group homes for special needs men where her son has lived since he was 18 years old.
