Jean H. Esannason

Jean H. Esannason passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving behind a rich legacy shaped by creativity, deep family devotion, and steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. Born on April 19, 1935, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Jean carried the spirit of her island throughout her entire life. 

She traveled extensively across the Caribbean, parts of Europe, and the Middle East, eventually making Florida her home. A gifted artist and performer, she expressed her love for life through dance, music, painting, writing poetry, and tending to her garden.

 She lived as a Proverbs 31 woman, bringing genuine warmth and a rare, constant positivity to everyone around her.Above all else, Jean loved the Lord. Her daily life was anchored in prayer, praise, and a heartfelt desire to share God's love with others. She walked closely with Jesus, knowing Him as her true source of strength and joy. Family was central to Jean’s heart. 

She was a loving mother to her three daughters, Susan Ann (Susie) Walther, Nedina Jean (Dina) Schopp, and Ginger Marie Bauman, and a proud grandmother to Deborah Alexandra (Ali) and Phoebe Grace Walther. She is also dearly remembered by her siblings, extended family, and many lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to The Well Training Ministry (thewelltraining.org), a non-profit organization founded by her daughter Susie, which Jean supported with deep pride and devotion. Jean’s memorial will be held 11am on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Church in the Son in Orlando, FL.
