Myra J. Scott
Sep 8, 1935 — Sep 28, 2026
Myra Jeanne (Stephens) Scott, passed peacefully from this life, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.
Myra was married to the love of her life, Charles Scott, on June 22, 1957, a marriage that flourished for more than six decades. Together they built a life rooted in devotion, laughter, and shared adventure until Charles’s passing on May 27, 2020. Their bond remained one of Myra’s greatest joys, and she carried his memory with her always.
Born with a gentle heart and a determined spirit, Myra pursued her calling in service to others. She graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Covington, Kentucky, beginning her career as a Registered Nurse, where her natural compassion became her greatest gift. Later, she devoted herself to being a stay‑at‑home mother, a role she embraced with creativity, patience, and joy. Myra also served as a church treasurer and worked in retail customer service and office cashiering, eventually retiring from Dillard’s.
Myra’s life was rich with interests that reflected her curiosity and her love for beauty. She was an avid reader, especially of science fiction, always eager to explore new worlds through the pages of a book. She had a remarkable green thumb, able to grow anything she touched, and orchids were her special delight. She loved gardening, cooking, bird watching, and was endlessly hands‑on, crafting with her children throughout their childhood and creating memories that still glow warmly today.
She adored cats and welcomed many into her home over the years, each one loved and cherished. Above all, Myra deeply loved God, and she expressed her faith through quiet acts of compassion, generosity, and grace.
Myra is survived by her daughter Amy (David) Titer, her son Jay (Pam) Scott, her granddaughter Caitlyn Titer, and her sisters Gail McDonald and Sandra Murphy. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great‑nieces, and great‑nephews, all of whom were touched by her warmth and wisdom.
Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service held at:
