Valerie E. Honeyghon-Amerson

Valerie Honeyghon-Amerson, born on June 3, 1971, in Westmoreland, Jamaica, passed away on September 6, 2025, at Tampa General Hospital. 

She is survived by her loving family: her spouse Alvin Amerson; parents Maskey and Gem Honeyghon; children Alycia, Keanna, Maya, AJ, and Hope; sister Christine Robinson (Godfrey); brother Michael Honeyghon (Cherry); brother-in-law Riney Amerson (Sandra); sister-in-law Antoinette Amerson; grandchildren Kaleb, Amari, Kelce, Carter, and Adonis; nieces and nephews RJ, Jasmyn, and Trey; and aunts and uncles Dalton (Madge), Sharon (Fitz), Lindra (Al), Delilah, and Lanness (Pat), along with numerous other close family members and friends.

Valerie attended Hallandale High School in Hallandale, FL, and earned an Associate Degree in Culinary Sciences from Broward Community College. She dedicated 21 years of her career as a loan processor at Suncoast Credit Union.

Known for her kind, generous, funny, loyal, and family-oriented nature, Valerie was a nurturing and brave woman who enjoyed baking, cooking, arts and crafts, sewing, gardening, teaching Sunday school, and caring for her animals.

A memorial service will be held at Land O Lakes Church of God, 8337 Land O' Lakes Blvd, Land O Lakes, FL, 34638 on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10 a.m.
