Virgil Lee Williams
May 24, 1929 — Oct 12, 2026
Virgil Lee Williams, Sr. went to be with his Lord & Savior on October 12, 2026.
Born on May 24, 1929, to Virginia & Jim Williams. He was a true Florida native born in Greenfield, Florida. Virgil married Patricia Williams in 1950 and had three children: Virgil Lee Williams, Jr. (Debbie), Jeffery Scott Williams (Delores), and Charlotte Sue Grabarschick. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren (Chad, Courtney, Amy, Theresa, Tina, Jennifer, Bubba, Laura, Will) and 14 great-grandchildren (Lauren, Vivian, Evelyn, Ava, Anthony, Abigail, Evangeline, Lawson, Avery, Patrick, Rylee, Logan, Taylor, Dylan).
Later in life, he married Ollie (Libby) Williams and gained extended family: Troy (Stacy) and three grandchildren (TJ, Jordan, Grace). He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Frank, JW, Jimmie, and Albert. Two sisters remaining are Patsy Tucker and Ann Conley.
Virgil loved hunting and bass fishing. He was a hard worker all of his life, from Tampa City bus driver to logging with his brother, Jimmie. He owned and operated Crossroads Sawmill and was a smart businessman. He was a long-time member of the Central Pasco Optimist Club and was a regular blood donor. A devoted servant of the Lord, Virgil found great joy in worship, service, and fellowship within the church.
Virgil had a heart of gold and would always help people in need. His legacy of selfless generosity will live on through the many lives he touched in his 97 years.
The Williams family would like to thank the staff at Angels Assisted Living at Connerton for their care and support of Virgil over the last six weeks. They would like to extend a very special thank you to Diane Woodward who lovingly cared for him in his final days.
