Barbara Coyle Miller
Mar 13, 1940 — Aug 5, 2026
Barbara Coyle Miller, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away on August 5, 2026, in Ventura, California. Born on March 13, 1940, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Barbara lived a life defined by love, devotion, generosity, and grace.
Barbara was the family’s angel—a steady source of comfort, strength, encouragement, and style. Her outstanding work ethic was evident throughout her career as a buyer for several companies, including Dataproducts and Technicolor. She took pride in her work and shared that same commitment, elegance, and determination with those she loved.
She was deeply involved in her community and gave generously of her time and talents. In Camarillo, Barbara worked tirelessly to obtain sponsors for the YMCA, helping strengthen an organization that supported so many families. Together with her beloved husband, Don, she was also an active member of the Camarillo Springs community and the wonderful camping group “Oxnard Elks Campers,” where they shared friendship, adventure, and many happy memories. She was a devoted member of the Padre Serra Parrish. Mom's faith was the foundation of her life. She loved Jesus and throughout every season, both joyful and difficult, Mom's faith in God never wavered. She trusted Him, prayed faithfully, and carried quiet confidence in his love and promises.
Barbara is survived by her brothers, Michael and Joseph Quinlan and her sister Mary Lou Quinlan. Also survived by her children, Chris and Juanita Coyle, Kelly Coty, and Cathy Abarca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Miller, and her son, Dean Coyle and her parents, Catherine and Frank Quinlan nee; Gignac.
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Jesse,Catherine, Victoria, Alexandria, Max, Audrey, Mallory, Nicole, and Natalie. She adored her great-grandchildren—whom she lovingly called “her greats”—Hugo, Louie, Sara, Christopher, Angel, Amythest, Sam, Luca, Dean, Leonie, Otto, Marlene, Noah, Case, Nora, and Rhys.
Although her family is heartbroken and devastated by her passing, they take comfort in believing that Barbara is now surrounded by the love of those who passed before her. Her life was a blessing, her memory will remain a treasure, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Donations can be made to any YMCA or Battered Women’s Shelters as Barbara was a supporter.
