Doris "Dorie" Marie Weiss

Doris "Dorie" Marie Weiss (née Monroe) passed away peacefully on the morning of September 23, 2026. She was 95 years old.

Dorie was predeceased by her loving husband Al in 2008 whom she was married to for 58 years. Dorie leaves behind her 6 children-Barbara (Bill), Donna (Ed,) Alfred (Ginny), Richard (Kathy), John (Mindy), and Timothy (Suzanne). She was a loving grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 23, affectionately known as Me-mom/Mi-mi and mom-mom. She is also survived by her youngest sister Margie along with many nieces and nephews.

Dorie was born in 1931 and raised in Collingswood, NJ along with 5 siblings. She graduated from Camden Catholic in 1949 married Al in 1950 and soon became a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed traveling throughout the years and was happy to become a snowbird for many years never missing the cold weather. Her life was full, with many Florida friends and neighbors in Boynton Beach. We will especially miss her “Dorie stories”!

Dorie especially loved her Phillies just like our dad and after every loss was known to say “those stinkin Phillies”!

She will be sorely missed by her loving family and many friends.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday, October 12th from 10:30AM to 11:15AM in the SS Peter and Paul RC Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Mass at 11:30AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to her favorite charity St Jude Children Research Hospital-www.stjude.org
