Harry J. Jones, 79, of Gibbsboro, NJ passed away on May 10, 2026 at Virtua Hospital, Marlton.

Harry will be remembered as a man who never needed many words to show how much he cared. Friendly, stubborn in the most endearing way, simple, honest, and dependable, he lived his life through quiet acts of service — always ready to lend a hand, fix what was broken, or show up when someone needed him most.

He was a dreamer at heart, someone who found joy in life’s simple pleasures: early mornings fishing, long drives on the open road, afternoons spent boating or crabbing, and sitting quietly people-watching with a smile and a story to tell later. He enjoyed sports from time to time, but what mattered most to him was not the game itself — it was the time spent beside his sons, cheering together, talking, laughing, and simply being present. When the day wound down, he was just as happy relaxing with a little TV and the comfort of family around him.

Family was always the center of his world. Harry loved deeply and faithfully, not through grand speeches, but through steady presence, hard work, and the countless little things he did every day for the people he loved. He was the kind of man who would stop what he was doing to help a friend, neighbor, or family member without hesitation, asking for nothing in return.

Predeceased by his parents, Harry Jones and Ellen Cooper, and his sister, Ellen Laute; Harry is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah L. Jones (nee Berger), cherished sons, Scott and his wife JoAnne and Eric and his wife Michele; and loving grandson, Jackson. Harry is also survived by his extended family of nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home, followed by interment at Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford.
