Harry J. Pohl
August 7, 1946 — April 27, 2026
Harry John Pohl, 79, of Sewell, NJ, passed away on April 27, 2026.
Harry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty and quiet strength with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as a real estate right-of-way agent with PECO, where his knowledge, integrity, and work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond his professional life, Harry was a man of many passions. A gifted musician, he found joy in playing both the piano and guitar. He had a love for travel and adventure, with memorable trips to Las Vegas, Europe, and especially Paris—places that reflected his curiosity and appreciation for life’s experiences.
Harry was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, rarely missing a chance to cheer on the Eagles and the Phillies. He also had a deep love for the arts, with Les Misérables holding a special place in his heart as his favorite musical.
Those who knew Harry will remember him as a great storyteller—quick-witted, thoughtful, and endlessly engaging. He was a loyal friend, maintaining lifelong connections, including a cherished friendship with the couple whose wedding he attended on May 4th—a day that changed his life in the most meaningful way.
Above all, Harry was a loving father and a steady, caring presence to those closest to him. His wisdom, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Irma M. Pohl (nee Rodriguez); his loving daughters, Dana Matusheski and her husband Zachary and Cara Mangone and her husband Philip; cherished grandchildren, Isabella and Nicholas.
Harry is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Anna (nee Conlon) Pohl, and siblings Patricia Andrews, James Pohl and Infant Ann.
