Henry S. Barbera, Jr.

Jan 2, 1966 — Oct 22, 2026

Henry S. Barbera Jr. of Williamstown, NJ passed away on October 22nd at the age of 60.

Legacy

Henry was a proud and honorable man who served his country and his community well. He joined the US Airforce and served during Desert Storm. He was also a volunteer firefighter for over 40 years. His love of firefighting began when he joined the Star Cross fire company, and he continued to serve as a member of the Williamstown Fire Department through the rest of his life.

Henry loved his sports. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Philadelphia Flyers, but his favorite sport by far, was football and he was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Other activities Henry enjoyed were fishing, bowling, going to dinner and playing at the casino, and road trips to Pennsylvania that always ended up at the Shady Maple Smorgasbord. Henry was a true "foodie". He loved to try new foods at new restaurants, but he was perfectly happy with a Texas Roadhouse ribeye, or Golden Nugget wings!

The last 3 years were difficult for Henry. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, which progressed at a very rapid rate. He was determined to not let it take away his love of life. He remained positive. He remained strong. He had the support of his true love who never left his side.

Henry will always be remembered as a kind, loving, funny, brave, hardworking, and honorable man. He was loved beyond measure by so many. He will truly be missed, but he will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Family

He is survived by his fiancé, Barbara Minchin with whom he has shared the last 13 years of his life, his mother Dorothy Black, his brother Tony (Debbie) Barbera, his niece Allison and nephew Anthony, his loving cousins and extended family, and his faithful and forever friends.
