James C. Stover

September 16, 1943 — May 28, 2026

James Charles Stover, 83, of Turnersville, New Jersey died peacefully while recovering from an unexpected illness.

James was born and raised on the prairie land of Kimeo, Kansas. He left that small town to join the Naval Submarine Service. He attained "Qualified in Submarines" in 1964 during his duty. This title showed his ability to repair and operate submarine systems.

He was a graduate of Widener College and The Delaware Law School of Widener College.

For many years, he worked as a pharmaceutical representative and continued for many years as a practicing attorney in Philadelphia.

Jim had beautiful blue eyes, a special personality, and a contagious sense of humor that was enjoyed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his beloved devoted wife of 58 years, JoAnne (Boris). He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Kay Stover.

James loved all of his standard poodles: Reds and Noah (both deceased) and his beloved constant companion, Jonah.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 10:00 am in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown.
