Jayne Marie Galtman

Jun 19, 1945 — Jun 21, 2026

Jayne Marie Galtman, 81, of Sewell, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion.

A beloved wife, mother, and proud Mom-Mom, Jayne's greatest joy was her family. She adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She loved cooking and baking for those she loved, and her shepherd's pie, olive bread, and sugar cookies were favorites at family gatherings.

One of nine siblings, Jayne cherished being part of a large family and carried that love of togetherness throughout her life. She planted all kinds of flowers but really loved hydrangeas, and never missed an opportunity to share a cup of tea with family and friends.

Deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, Jayne spent time in the convent as a young woman before discerning her true calling to marriage and motherhood. She shared a loving marriage of 56+ years with her devoted husband, Ivan. Together they enjoyed traveling. Some favorite spots included Myrtle Beach, Williamsburg, and New Hampshire. They even had an opportunity to visit Alaska!

Jayne was also a caring dog mom to Sam, Taffy, Misty, Koko, and Suzie… they loved to take long walks together, and wherever Jayne was, they were always by her side.

Jayne was known for her thoughtfulness, always remembering holidays and special occasions with a card, a kind word, or a helping hand. She upheld family traditions, put others before herself, and was always willing to help someone in need.

She will be remembered for her selfless spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared so generously with family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents James J. and Myrtle R. (Boyle) Pfaff, her mother and father-in-law, Morris and Kate (Segal) Galtman, and brothers James Pfaff Jr. (Joann) and Joseph Pfaff; brother-in-law, Richard Seymour.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ivan; 4 devoted children, Michael (Dawn), Linda Deal (Charles), Maureen Worst (Eric) and Robert (Tingli); dear sister to Nancy Dougherty (Joseph), Patricia Seymour, Virginia Sickler (Melvin), sister in law, Beth Ann Pfaff, John (Carolyn), Timothy (Diane) and Mary Pfaff; 10 loving grandchildren, Maxamillion, Katelyn, Ethan, Jaime, Tyler, Ryan, Aidan, Madalyn, Kylee and Baby G.

Jayne is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, followed by interment in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
