Leonard Strauss

Leonard Michael Strauss “Lenny”, 59, of Millsboro, D.E., passed away on September 28, 2026.

Lenny was creative and a natural artist with everything he did. He was the kind of person who saw things differently and could envision something simple and turn it into something beautiful and interesting, be it art or music.

He was mostly self-taught, but one wouldn’t know, as he was just that naturally talented! He enjoyed doing freelance work for both big and small companies for many years.

He was a talented drummer and played for bands in the 1980’s local Philly/NJ rock scene. Lenny and his lifelong best friend Baba were in the band New Mercedes together. They played shows in the area for years. Lenny had a passion for drumming and was influenced by such drummers as Alex Van Halen.

Beloved son of Jerry and Lorraine (nee Brown) Strauss and loving brother of Elyse Strauss. Adored nephew of Alan Brown and the late Jackie Strauss and grandson of the late Philip and Lillian (nee Kaplan) Brown. Lenny leaves behind his daughters, McKenna and Madison Strauss, and their mother, Laura Mullins. Len leaves behind some of his oldest and dearest friends from Marlton Village: Sandy, Sheila, Todd, Brian, Jeff, and Mark.

Visitation will take place at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080 on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A celebration of Lenny’s life will begin at 1:30 P.M.
