Robert John DiBiaso
May 30, 1948 — Sep 1, 2026
Robert J. DiBiaso, 78, of Sewell, NJ passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on September 1, 2026.
Bob was a proud graduate of Bishop Neumann, Class of 1967, and Temple University, Class of 1971. Professionally, he was a part owner of Cox, Darrow and Owens, where he built a career and lasting relationships.
Bob lived a life filled with music, friendship, service, and plenty of laughs—many of them delivered in his own wonderfully corny way. He was never the loudest person in the room, but he had a quiet presence and a sense of humor that could sneak up on you. His famous “Bob jokes” became part of who he was, and they will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A lifelong musician, Bob found particular joy behind the drums. Music was an important part of his life and one of the many ways he connected with others. He also enjoyed tennis and the friendly competition and camaraderie that came with it. He treasured time spent with friends, especially around a home poker game. Whether there was a good hand on the table, a story being told, or a perfectly timed “Bob joke,” he enjoyed the simple pleasure of being together with people he cared about.
Giving back to his community was another important part of Bob’s life. He generously volunteered with Special Olympics, RIBC, and reading for individuals who are visually impaired. His willingness to give his time and help others reflected the kindness and generosity that were such an important part of his character.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Maureen DiBiaso (nee Potter); beloved father of Stacey (Fran) and Jeffrey “Jeff” (Leslie); dear brother of Lisa Shima (Lane) and sister-in-law, Michelle Atwell; 5 loving grandchildren, Brooke, Ronan, Ruby, Charli Rose, Nicolas “Nico”; and cherished nieces and nephews, Robert Jr. (Jennifer), Christina (David Higgins), Lindsay and Brandon.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 9:45 am until 10:45am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am at the church.
