Diane J. Romer

Diane J. Romer, 85, of Westville, New Jersey, passed away on August 30, 2026.

Born in Camden and raised in National Park, Diane later raised her children in the Oak Valley section of Deptford before settling in her current home in Westville.

During her years in Oak Valley, Diane coached girls’ softball and was one of the original members of the Oak Valley Women’s Auxiliary. She was later inducted into the Deptford Township Hall of Fame in recognition for her contributions as both a coach and auxiliary member. Diane loved spending summers in Ocean City, New Jersey, surrounded by family. Hitting the beach and listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd on the decks were among her favorite pastimes. Her true passion, however, was working around her home—planting flowers and carefully tending to her yard . Mom Loved her sports teams, she remained a loyal supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Philadelphia Flyers.

She was a devoted and loving mother to Al (Debbie), Bob, Kenny (Maryann), William (Deb), and Diane (Neil). Diane was also a proud grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of ten. She shared a special and cherished relationship with her Grandchildren, Jennifer, Vanessa, Tyler, and Bill and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew and Anna.

Diane/Mom/Grandmom/Great Grandmom will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
