Janet Marie Hunsberger (Poloney), beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 76.

Janet was born on October 12, 1949, and raised in South Philadelphia, where she spent her early years and developed the strong Philadelphia roots that remained an important part of her life.

Janet was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dean Hunsberger; her parents, Rose Green (Gambale) and Carl Green Sr.; and her siblings Roseann Miligan (Poloney) and Carl Green Jr.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Rasmussen (Miller) and her husband, Jon; Alex Miller and his wife, Cynthia; John Miller and his wife, Christine; Denise Cox (Miller) and her husband, Parris; and Chris Hunsberger and his wife, Amanda; as well as 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  Janet is also survived by her siblings, John Poloney and his wife, Maryann; Michael Cioppi; Michael Green and his wife, Claudia; Dennis Green; and Steven Green, along with extended family and many friends.

Throughout her life, Janet held a variety of jobs and titles, but her compassion for those in need was a constant. She found purpose in caring for others and held several positions assisting the elderly and children with special needs. Her caring nature and willingness to help others were a meaningful part of who she was.

Janet’s greatest legacy is the family she loved and the generations that grew from her. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She was blessed to see her family grow to include children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild—a legacy that will continue long after her passing.
