Marcus P. Lang

Marcus P. Lang, 55, of Woolwich Township, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Marcus was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He brought joy to those around him and lived life with a passion for the things and people he loved.

He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, cooking and grilling, anything Disney, watching old westerns, NASCAR and Penn State football, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan since childhood. You could often find Marcus out on his boat fishing, one of his favorite places to be.

Marcus graduated with honors from Pennco Tech in 1992. He was a dedicated mechanic for more than 30 years, of which 26 years of service with West Deptford Township and was also the proud owner of JML Services. He was known as a mechanical savant. One of his proudest achievements was obtaining his OUPV 6-Pack and 100-Ton Master Captain licenses through the US Coast Guard, reflecting his lifelong love of being on the water.

Family

He was the beloved husband of Jenn Lang (nee Thompson), with whom he shared 32 wonderful years. He was the devoted father of Jacob, Matthew, and Melanie.

He was the treasured son of Jeff (Gail) Lang and the late Peg Lang.

He was also an adored member of his extended family the Thompson’s and Rowand’s : Mary Jane (the late Herb Sr.) Thompson, Herb Jr. (Debbie) Thompson, Jim Thompson, Jon (Sandy) Thompson, Jeff (Tina) Thompson, Margie and Bob Rowand, Dana (Mike) Brown, Rob Rowand, and Todd Rowand.

Marcus will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and by his beloved furry pal, Rusty.

He was so loved and loved so many in return. He was always there to lend a helping hand and always found the time to support whoever was in need.

Marcus leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and stories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
