Raymond Kinney

Raymond Kinney (Ray) age 83 of Woodbury, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday Aug. 17, 2026. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Ray was patriotic and cherished his Irish roots. He had a calm, easy going personality, He would help anyone. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1960 until 1964.  On Sept. 17,1966 Ray married Emily Schenkel in Philadelphia, PA. They shared 59 years of marriage. Ray was a devoted Dad to Kellyann and Rayleen. He loved rooting for the Phillies, Flyers and going to the Marine Corps League on Sundays to watch the Eagles. He liked trips to the casinos where he played video poker machines and have a couple of cold ones. He loved his beer, pretzels and black licorice. Ray was a member of the Army Navy Garrison, Deptford Elks, American Legion 133 and the Marine Corps League. He was a life member of the Marine Corps League.

He is survived by his daughter Rayleen (Brian) Welsh. Sisters Margie Walder and Donna Rooney and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Emily Schenkel, daughter Kellyann, and brothers Frank and Robert. He was the son to the late Mrs. Margaret Miller and Mr. Frank Kinney.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 10:00am until 12 noon at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm, followed by interment at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown.
