Robert John Paley
Aug 7, 1971 — Sep 6, 2026
Robert John Paley "Bob", 55, of Wenonah, NJ passed away too soon on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Bob loved cooking for everyone who attended the Philadelphia Eagles tailgate party in the Jetro lot every Sunday morning when the Birds were home; this was a huge tradition for him and his family and friends. He was the life of the party everywhere he went, and people just loved being around his kind and enthusiastic spirit. He loved all things Philly sports especially the Eagles and Phillies. He always loved his mom’s cooking and baking, including her famous Jewish apple cake, kielbasa & sauerkraut.
He loved driving and maybe used this as an excuse to spend extra time with his children. He not only drove them to many sporting events, but he also coached his kids in baseball, softball and basketball. He enjoyed every moment of being an awesome dad.
Bob was the kind of guy that everyone wanted as a neighbor & friend, as he had the knack to pretty much do anything. If there was a task at hand, "Bob could do it!". And he did with a smile.
Bob married his high school sweetheart, Allyson Sweeney, and they've been together ever since. Together they raised a loving family. He worked at Thomson Lamination for around 20 years and here, he was a laminating specialist. He didn't always talk about work, but everyone knew he had a special talent in his craft. Bob was a humble, thoughtful, dedicated, kind man.
Beloved son of Frances "Fran" (nee Barnett) and the late Richard J. Paley, Sr.; Loving husband of his one and only love, Allyson (nee Sweeney) Paley. Best father of Madison Paley, Dylan Paley, Camryn Paley, Cole Watkins and Brooklyn Watkins; dear brother of Rich Paley (Debbie) and Ken Paley (Linda); Son-in-law of the late Bonnie and Neil Sweeney and brother-in-law of Neil Sweeney and Ashley Sweeney.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 1 PM to 3 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 3 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096.
** Everyone is encouraged to wear Eagles Attire as a tribute to Bob**
