Darryl Anthony Williams Jr.

Darryl Anthony Williams Jr., born November 19, 2004, was a young man whose playful spirit and unique personality touched the lives of those around him. From a young age, Darryl had a way of finding a reason to laugh in almost anything, and his goofy sense of humor brought joy to the people around him. Darryl was a hard worker who believed in himself and never gave up, even when things were difficult. He took pride in becoming more independent and building a future for himself. Some of his proudest moments included buying his first car, getting his first job, and receiving his very first paycheck. Those milestones represented more than accomplishments to Darryl—they were steps toward the life he dreamed of creating for himself.

Darryl had a true passion for boxing, working out, and staying active. He dreamed of one day boxing professionally and was determined to continue pushing himself toward that goal. He enjoyed the simple things in life, from spending time at home with his two favorite ladies to enjoying his favorite meal, Pete’s Fish & Chips. More than anything, Darryl cared about people. Those who loved him will forever remember his beautiful smile, contagious laugh, kindness, and the way he could make even ordinary moments memorable.

Darryl had a way of teaching the people around him simply by being himself. He encouraged others to be honest, embrace who they were, take care of themselves, and never be afraid to try something new. Though his life was far too short, Darryl's impact was much greater than the time he was given. He leaves behind memories filled with laughter, love, lessons, and countless moments that will never be forgotten.

Above all, Darryl will be remembered as a kind soul—a young man who loved deeply, worked hard, dreamed boldly, protected those he loved, and never stopped believing in the possibility of becoming better. His smile will be missed, his laugh will be missed, and his presence will be missed, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of everyone blessed to know him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents; Cemetra Phillips and Darryl A. Williams Sr; his siblings, Tracy Johnson, Stacy Johnson, Robert Torrence, Christopher Ward, Kadeisha Phillips, Tiffany Flannery, Darryl Williams, Lemech Williams and Selah Williams; his aunts and uncles, Linda Stewart, Monique Dreams, Arthur Dreams, Joetta Dreams, Brian Johnson, Elizabeth Williams, Antoinette Williams, Howie Williams and Desiree Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Florence Lewis, George Brown and Bertha Stacy; his Uncle Jack Dreams and Aunt Elizabeth Bryant.
