On August 19, Dau passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Dau was born and raised in Vietnam, then he moved to Monterey County, California and lived here for 35 years. He lost his parents at a young age and was raised by his grandmother.

Dau was well-liked by many people. He loved to volunteer at the temples, enjoyed traveling and lending a helping hand everywhere he went. He was always thinking about others before himself.

He was a devoted father, cherished grandfather, loving husband, and an exceptional individual.

Dau is survived by his wife, seven children, twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother, and six nephews.

The services will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday August 26, 2026 at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey, CA 93940
