In Loving Memory of Mark Hellam

Age 52 | Passed Away October 25, 2026

It is with profound sadness and a shattered heart that I announce the sudden passing of my Amazing Husband Mark Hellam, age 52, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Mark was a Devoted Husband, Amazing Friend, Son, Nephew, Stepfather and Step-Grandfather.

Mark was truly one of a kind. Hardworking, strong willed, quick witted, and a little rough around the edges. He was a man who stood firmly in his beliefs and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. He could be stubborn as a mule, and anyone who knew Mark knew there was little chance of changing his mind once it was made up. His sharp wit and love of comedy brought laughter to those around him, and you never quite knew what he might say next.

Beneath that tough exterior was a heart of gold and a complete gentleman. Mark was fiercely loyal, generous beyond measure, and the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. If you needed help, Mark was there. No questions asked, no expectations, just Mark being Mark.

A Master Plumber by trade and a problem solver by nature, Mark was a man who could fix just about anything. He took pride in his work, believed in doing things right, and was always willing to lend his knowledge and skills to anyone who needed them.

Mark had a passion for adventure and the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, archery, shooting, camping with friends, and traveling. He had a special appreciation for exotic and classic cars, boats, motorcycle racing, and off roading in his SxS. Whether he was out enjoying an adventure or simply spending time with his wife or friends, Mark lived life on his own terms.

He also loved bringing people together, especially around good food. Smoking meat for family and friends was something he truly enjoyed, and Sunday nights at home with his wife Audra, often meant something delicious coming off the smoker. Those simple moments, sharing a meal, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company, became some of life’s greatest treasures. He would thank me (Audra) every night after dinner and kiss me on the cheek for preparing something he enjoyed.

Above all, Mark loved me; his wife, Audra. Together for nine years and married for four, we built a life filled with love, friendship, adventure, and devotion. To me, Mark was so much more than my husband. He was my protector, my safe place, my strength, and my home.

And perhaps nothing describes the kind of man and husband Mark was better than one simple gesture: For all nine years we were together, Mark opened every door I walked through, every car door I got into… every single time! He never stopped. It wasn’t something he did just to win my heart. It was simply who he was. A man who, despite his tough exterior, he never stopped showing me; his wife that I was loved, respected, and cherished.

Although Mark had no biological children of his own, he was a stepfather and step-grandfather, sharing in the love and experiences of family.

Mark had an amazing extended family that took him in and adopted him as one of their own. He was a Son, brother, uncle, and a cousin to many!

Mark leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, generosity, hard work, laughter, and unwavering love. He was a man of strong convictions, a friend you could always count on, and a husband whose love was shown not just through words, but through a thousand everyday actions.

His sudden passing has left an emptiness that words cannot begin to describe. But the memories, the laughter, the adventures, and the countless lives he touched will ensure that his spirit lives on.

He may have been rough around the edges, but his heart was pure gold.

And to me, he will forever be the man who never stopped opening my doors.
